Attractive benefits and value - employers today need to attract good employees and then keep them. The benefits OMERS provides members are funded by member and employer contributions that are competitive within the public sector.

Help with administration

We have a friendly and knowledgeable Client Services team fully versed in all aspects of OMERS administration, as well as online tools and administration training workshops. We’re with you every step of the way – from enrolling members through to their retirement.

Two types of employers may be able to join the OMERS Plan:

  • "Traditional" employers – employers that work in the local municipal government and local municipal boards sectors. 
  • "Associated" employers – employers that don’t work directly in the local municipal government or local municipal boards sectors but that provide a municipal service or program.
