How do I set up automatic contributions for AVCs and how do I determine how much I can contribute?
- There are two options available to set up automatic contributions. You may do so by completing a Form 401- Automatic Contribution Plan and submitting it to OMERS or you can log into myOMERS, our secure online member site and follow the prompts under My AVC Account - Start Contributions.
- Some employers offer payroll deductions. If you aren’t sure if your employer offers this option, contact Client Services and we can confirm its availability or not.
- There are limits based on your earnings, as to how much you can contribute via automatic contributions. To determine your contribution limits, refer to the chart attached to the Form 401. If you are signing up through myOMERS, you will be prompted with your minimum and maximum contribution amounts during the process.
