Alexander is the Executive Vice President & Global Head of Private Equity at OMERS, responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the business. He joined OMERS in March 2025 and is based in New York.

Alexander has a 20+ year track record as a private markets investor, with deep experience with control buyouts and structured/minority investments across ticket sizes, industries, and geographies.

Before joining OMERS, Alexander was a founding partner of 65 Equity Partners US, a multi-billion-dollar global private equity initiative sponsored by Temasek. Prior to that, he was a Partner at Bridgepoint, where he launched the firm’s San Francisco investment office and co-led technology investments. Alexander also spent 16 years at GI Partners, a private investment firm in San Francisco, where he held a variety of investment roles.

Alexander received his MBA from the Darden School at University of Virginia. He also holds a BA from Colgate University, graduating magna cum laude with high honors in Latin American Studies. Active in the community, he serves as a trustee at the Branson School and has previously been a trustee at Mark Day School and the Bay Area Discovery Museum.
