Giuliana Carbone

Giuliana Carbone was appointed by the City of Toronto to the OMERS Sponsors Corporation (SC) Board effective January 1, 2025. She serves as a member of the Audit & Human Resources Committee, Corporate Governance & Risk Committee, and Plan Design Committee.

Ms. Carbone is a retired Certified Public Accountant with 37 years of municipal management experience, finishing her working career with 6 years as Deputy City Manager of Community and Social Services. She began her public service career as a Director of Administrative Services in the former city of North York’s Public Health Department, before joining the amalgamated City of Toronto’s Finance Department, first within the Revenue Services Division as a Director and then as Treasurer in 2008.

Ms. Carbone remains actively involved in supporting her community through service on other not-for-profit boards, including Family Service Toronto which assists individuals and families achieve greater resilience, stability and equity; Birch Housing, which seeks to foster opportunity through quality affordable housing; and as a member of the Community Impact Committee at the United Way Greater Toronto. She also previously served on the Boards of Toronto Municipal Employees’ Credit Union and Toronto Catholic Family Services.
