Rick Robson

Rick Robson was appointed by the Police Association of Ontario (PAO) to the OMERS Sponsors Corporation (SC) Board effective August 20, 2024. He serves as a member of the Audit & Human Resources Committee and Plan Design Committee.

Rick is the outgoing Executive Director of the London Police Association (LPA) where he served in this capacity since November 2015. Prior to taking on full-time duties with the LPA, Rick was a police officer in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario from 1995 - 2001 when he then relocated with his family to London, Ontario. Rick served as a police officer from 2002 until his appointment as the Executive Director with the Association.

Rick held multiple positions on the Board of Directors with both the Sault Ste. Marie Police Association and the LPA where he sat as the President for four years. As part of the team of the Board with the LPA, Rick was responsible for negotiating multiple collective agreements and worked with the Police Association of Ontario where he sat on the Pension Committee and Mental Health Committee. Improving the mental health, safety, protections and overall wellbeing of police employees across the province was a passion. Rick received a number of community awards for his service.

Rick graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1990 with Bachelors of Science and has taken training related to his association work including human resources, labour relations and the Police Services Act.
